 NOTICE:

By entering USD 262 outdoor facilities, you are accepting personal responsibility and understand:

·       The facilities are not disinfected
·       There is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID 19
·       You will follow all CDC guidelines, Executive Orders, and Local Regulations including 6' social distancing.


Hornet Happenings

    Beginning Monday, April 6,
    and continuing throughout
    the school closure, the
    District Office has modified
    its hours. The official hours
    are from 9:00-3:00, Monday
    through Friday. Staff are
    available by phone/email
    during those times. Please

    Congratulations to VCHS student, Margaret Weihe! She entered into an entrepreneurship business plan competition and took 3rd place nationally. She also was awarded Best in Class for "Best Product" idea and won $2,500. Margaret and fellow classmate Ray Flora, made it into the Top 25. For more details click here.



    About Us

    Valley Center USD 262 serves around 3,000 students from the communities of Valley Center, Park City, Kechi, and Wichita. Our location provides a unique opportunity to blend the benefits of a small town with easy access to everything Metro-Wichita has to offer.
     
    Our school configuration includes one Pre-K-3 building; two K-3 schools; an intermediate school which houses the fourth and fifth grades; a sixth, seventh and eighth grade middle school; and a 5A high school. We also offer virtual and adult learning opportunities at The Learning Center, which assists students of all ages earn their high school diploma.
     
    The district’s 400+ employees strive to make the vision, “To Be a Premier School District Known for Excellence in Education, Innovative Instruction, Outstanding Programs, and Dedication to Students” a reality through continual staff development, district-wide strategic planning, and by all focusing on what is best for our students.
