General “Need To Know” Info: 


There will be no offseason strength and conditioning after school today.


It's No Name Calling Week!  Celebrate kindness by texting KIND to 21333 to send an anonymous message of kindness to a friend.  Look for other opportunities to spread kindness this week and share using #KindnessInAction


Students who were registered to take the ACT here on Saturday, Feb. 8 should have received an email from ACT telling you that you are now reassigned to another test center.  Our center is closed for Feb. 8 due to insufficient registration numbers. Check your email if you haven't already done so.

HELP!  Students: Concessions help is needed for the January Jam tournament this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  You will receive tickets to use for prizes at After Prom.  Sign up on the link below to help or to bring bake sale items or see Stacy in the front office.

Students who are taking an online WSU Tech course should be able to log in and see their course in Blackboard.  If you cannot see your course, or need assistance email Ms. Seacat immediately.  



There are some free prom dresses available.  If you are interested in looking at them please contact Mrs. Joyal in

C-18 or Mrs. Sirignano in the library.


Textron Aviation is accepting applications for their high school Youth Employment Project.  Students must be 16-19 years old, apply, attend a workshop and interview for the YEP.  Positions are paid and they get hands on experience, with the potential for future employment opportunities.  There are 10 different departments that participate in the YEP. VCHS Students - Would you like to be involved in a service project where you get to grow plants in our greenhouse? Work time will be flexible either before school, after school or during advisory period.  We will be growing vegetables plants that will be given away for FREE in our community.  Recipients of these plants will also receive locations where extra produce can be donated in our community.   Please see Mrs. Joyal  in C-18 for more information, to sign up or sign up using this link. 

Planting will start at the end of January. 


Coach Schulz will be in the commons during lunch on January 29th for boys tennis signup. If you're interested in playing this spring please stop by and signup.

Winter offseason strength and conditioning sessions will be held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school from 3:10-3:45 throughout the course of the winter sports season. The weight room, track, and turf practice fields will be off limits to any student not directly participating in a winter sport or the planned offseason exercises. See Coach L'Ecuyer if you have any questions.

  • KSU STUDENT Shadow Days are coming!   The mission of EXCITE Shadow Days is to increase girls’ interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. This opportunity is open to all high school students (grades 9-12), EXCITE Shadow Days provide a unique “day in the life” experience! Participants are paired with a current K-State undergraduate majoring in a field of shared interest. Together, they attend class, tour campus, share lunch, and talk about what it's like to be in college.  The schedule is as follows:  February 12 - College of Architecture, Planning and Design, February 26 - College of Health and Human Sciences, March 25 - College of Arts and Sciences, April 1 - College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and Coming Fall 2020 - College of Engineering.  For more information go to

Scholarships and monthly announcements have been posted to the VCHS Counseling website under Scholarships and Financial Aid.  Scholarships are organized by deadline month.  Check these regularly as more scholarships will be added each month.  

Students, don't forget to sign up for College Visits!


    Students: to send your Transcript to a college or university,    please make those requests in Xello.

Lost & Found

   There is a table in the hallway next to the café with large lost & found items. Smaller items are in the front office.  Take a look at either location for items you may be missing.  You’d be surprised what a collection we have (glasses, retainers, jewelry, etc)! 


IMPORTANT LUNCH INFORMATIONParents/Guardians are the only guest that are allowed to eat lunch with students.  The only exception will be special circumstances with PRIOR APPROVAL FROM ADMINISTRATION.
