Congrats to Mati Newman on placing 17th out of 87 at the 5A State Golf Tourney. Mati shot an 88, which was 12 strokes shy of 1st place!

ATTENTION FCCLA MEMBERS!! Here's what's in your future!

1. Fall Conference: If you plan to attend this conference, I need your $8 to secure your spot--first to pay first to reserve a seat on the van. I can only take 8! (Don't forget the required dress code of black pants and red or white polo or oxford shirt.

2. FCCLA meeting: October 17 during advisory in A29 to prep for the conference. Anyone in FCCLA can attend this meeting, as we need ideas for celebrity costume, attendance poster and nametags.  


Anyone who signed up for the Intermediate School Haunted House MUST ATTEND the informational meeting today during Activity Period in room B-03.


Coaches – just a reminder to please not accept any paperwork – it MUST be turned in to the Athletic Department.


If you are interested in participating and/or trying out for a winter sport, all sports, physical paperwork must be turned into Mrs. Gillig in the Athletic Department before 3:00 on November 9th.  



If you are interested in trying out for basketball for the 2018-2019 season, there will be meetings held during Advisory Period on Wednesday, October 17th.

  • Girls Basketball will meet in the Commons area.
  • Boys Basketball will meet in the Main Gym on the track



There will be a Friendship Club meeting this Wednesday, October 17th in B-06. We will be planning a few upcoming events.



There will be a meeting for any boy’s interested in going out for Swimming in the commons during Activity period on October 17th.



Sophomores, please check your school e-mail for an important message about HOBY Youth Leadership.  Starting today you are invited to apply to become the VCHS representative at a state-wide leadership seminar just for sophomores.  Additional information sheets and applications are available in the counseling office.  The deadline to apply will be Friday, November 2.



Anyone interested in trying out for bowling will need to meet in the Aux gym on November 7th during Advisory.


Do you love horses and want to meet others who share your common interest? Come to the commons (meet by the tall tables) during activity period on 10/17 for an Equine Club interest meeting.  (This is not a riding club and no horse ownership or experience is required). See Ms. Wine in the guidance office if you have questions.

Visits will take place during activity period in the library, on October 31st.

After School Tutoring

If you need a quiet place to work, access to a computer and internet, or one on one help in your classes, make sure to take advantage of this free service. After school tutoring is located in the library every Monday-Thursday from 3:00 P.M.-4:30 P.M.
