The 5th hour that raises the most money will receive a catered lunch from Olive Garden…YUM…if the school as a whole raises $750!  Thursday, April 18th is the last day to donate.

  • On April 18th, the Friendship Club will be offering an assembly in the auditorium during advisory.  It will be a “Lip Sync Battle” for Pennies for Patients Charity. Admission is $1.  You won’t want to miss this!! J

  • Are you interested in the educational field or gaining experience working with youth? If so, this is an opportunity for you! Camp Hornet is our district’s summer school program that serves K-5 students and is looking for volunteers for the month of June. You must be able to commit to at least one hour a day for one week (there are no classes on Fridays). You will also need to have reliable transportation to and from our summer school location (TBD but most likely VCMS). Some examples of things our volunteers help with are: checking students in and out, making copies, working with students in small groups, getting students to and from breakfast/lunch, and having fun getting to work with staff and students! If this sounds like something for you, please fill out the application link below.

Applications are due by Tuesday, April 30th.  Please see Ms. Reyes in the office with any questions.

  • Any students interested in an art form combining Athletics, Dance, Drama, Art wanting to try something new, learn unique skills, and want to be a part of a great team should try out for The VCHS Hornet Marching Band Colorguard!!

Don’t know what Colorguard is? Come by the High School Band Room and talk with Jolly or Verboom for more info!!

You do not have to currently be a member of the High School Band Program to be part of the High School Program for next fall.

We love to have some new faces with great work ethic for the Colorguard and part of one the best band programs in the State of Kansas!!
